Enrollment is closed for the fall 2018 semester.
Fall 2018 Classes

Classes will begin the week of September 17 and will end December 14. This is a 12 week semester with a week off for Thanksgiving. Please scroll to the bottom to see where classes will be located. I am so excited to meet your family of learners!
If you have any questions about payment schedules, missed classes and more, please download the Handbook below (will be downloaded soon). And of course, if you still have questions, email me at literacyjourneys@gmail.com. Thanks!
Please note: Since we only get to meet once a week, it is important that students be able to participate in a group learning environment so we can make the most of our learning time together. Of course, I don't expect kids to be perfect! :-) But a general ability to participate in group lessons and work on tasks independently in class will ensure I can help make sure everyone gets the support that they need. If your child needs more personalized attention, let's talk and see if private tutoring may be a better fit.
Registration
Registration is secured through payment for the class in full or making the deposit with the materials fees. You will hear from me personally once your payment is received. :-) If you need to request to make alternate arrangements to secure your space, please email me at literacyjourneys@gmail.com.
Pay-in-Full Bonus: If you pay for the semester in full, you will receive a FREE private tutoring session. You can redeem this for your child who is enrolled in the class, a sibling, or gift it to someone. Email Jill at literacyjourneys@gmail.com if you would like to pay in full.
Thursdays 1:30-3:00
$280/semester Deposit of $40 (plus $15 materials fee) required for registration. Remaining tuition payable in 3 monthly installments of $80 in October, November, and December. HOME LEARNING: There will be assignments to work on between classes. Many weeks it will simply be to complete/continue the writing that was started in class. There will not be grades, but rather feedback for growth. |
Writing Foundations (upper elementary/tweens)

Writing Foundations is an academic writing class for tweens who may still need a little bit of help making their foundation strong. The main goal of this class is to go from single paragraph to 3 paragraph essay with skill and confidence! This 90 minute class will include:

Break-the-Code Boot Camp
Transform how your child reads! If your child gets "stuck" trying to figure out words they don't know, then "sounding it out" just isn't cutting it! Break-the-Code Boot Camp's games and strategies will teach them how to master word attack skills. This 6 month program is so special it has it's own website! You can download the flyer below or go straight to the Boot Camp page. I can't wait to see you over there! ![]()

573 Fairview Road Suite 21 Asheville, NC 28803 Please note that there is a preschool, after school program, and several businesses in this building, and we all have separate entrances.
